Garden for Annie and Boda
Ask from client: gravel garden, calm space for a couple, privacy, low maintenance, nice window views, low-cost, space for hosting people, small space for growing vegetables, water in the garden.
Our solution: the garden has a calmer planting, usage of some evergreen grasses, shrubs and trees for all-year constant visual, evergreen hedges for privacy, flower beds, a porch, a grass and stone area for sitting, a corton steel water feature, small area for growing fruits and vegetables.
This garden was created for a couple who have visited Tibet and like Japanese gardens. They are also very sociable, so they have a big porch for hosting parties and also a few smaller areas for sitting and socialising. They have a bathroom with big windows facing the street, so privacy was an important issue. The garden was created on a budget.
